How To: Write math notation/formulas in questions

When creating questions, you can write equations and other mathematics symbols using the formula input.


How to write math notation into a question

As shown in the example video above, if you click the f(x) icon, it opens a field that allows you to type in LaTeX. LaTeX allows you to type in text that then shows up as mathematics notation. For example, if you type " \pi " into the field, it will show the pi symbol.

How to write math notation into a multiple choice

Even though a multiple choice field does not have the f(x) symbol, there is a way to write math notation:

As shown in the example video above, what you want to do is put in some placeholder text, and then once you highlight that text, it'll show a popup that lets you select the f(x) symbol and insert LaTeX.
